In mixer bowl add:
2 c. warm water
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening (butter, margarine or veg. shortening)
2 1/2 t. salt
2/3 c. nonfat dry milk
1 egg
2 c. flour
mix on speed 1 until smooth. Add:
2 T. yeast
Mix on speed 1 until blended. Add:
3-4 c. flour (a little at a time until dough pulls away from sides)
Turn to speed 2 and knead for 4-5 minutes. Let rise until triple in size and shpae into rolls. place on greased baking sheet. Brush with melted butter or egg white wash.
Let rise for about 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes
